The Problem

Cement production is responsible for approximately 7% of world emissions. That's a lot. Over half of this CO2 comes from the chemical reaction used to make cement's main component, clinker, which gives the final product its strength.

Though industry decarbonization will require removing increasingly more clinker from cement recipes, contents, producers have struggled to maintain cement quality and meet strength targets while reducing the clinker content, as the tests to check the cement only give definitive results 28 days later. This is where alcemy comes in.

The Solution
